Twenty guys got on a little bus and headed for Richmond for a great day of socializing, learning, eating and drinking. Our private River Boat Cruise provided an introduction to the city while our time at the Museum of the Confederacy gave us a look at our troubled past with new perspectives.

"Becky" was our tour guide for the Confederate White House home of Jefferson Davis. She was a walking encyclopedia of history, culture, design and art of the period. About ten members of the Prime Timers of Richmond joined us for cocktails at the BarCode, all decorated for the 25th anniversary of Richmond’s Pride Weekend. We finished off the day with a delicious dinner at Tarrant’s Restaurant next door. In spite of a “crusty” bus driver, we made it down and back safely, getting to East Falls Church Metro at about 10:15 pm.
